Where does your Sheepskin
come from?
The majority of our
products are made in, and imported from, either Australia or New
Zealand. All other products are made from imported Australia and New
Zealand sheepskin.
Will your
Sheepskin shrink?
Our slippers are
made for a very snug fit when first put on. They will feel tight at
first and the sheepskin will pack down after a little
while.
Our other products
will last a long time and maintian their shape and size if looked
after. Simply follow the care instructions that come with the items
and you should have no problems.
Will the products
shed?
It takes some time
for the loose wool in a new product to work it's way out. This is
not shedding but simply wool that was cut when the skins were cut.
Once the loose fibers are gone there will be no shedding of any
kind.
How do I care for my
purchase?
Basic rules are
quite simple and relate to many leather products in general. If the
product happens to be worn in the rain or snow simply allow it to
dry at room temperature. Never attempt to dry by a high heat source.
Once the product is dry you can brush out most water spots with a
soft bristle brush. Please store in a dry place as mildew can form
and can never be completely removed. Never encase in plastic for
storage, a paper bag or box is preferable. Moths will generally not
bother the items.
How do I clean my purchase?
If you are
particularly nervous about trying to clean your sheepskin yourself,
we recommend you take your item to a dry cleaner who specialises in
Sheepskin products.
We have found however that careful use of any
reputable Woolwash will work for most people. The product
we use is shown below, but providing you follow the directions
carefully most wool washes will work fine.
